!SOLD!

Ok, let's try this one more time! But this time, I'm gonna make it ultra-cheap. I'm moving soon and just need it gone.

I had my own company for a short time. But I've given up the business and am moving on. I spent thousands of dollars on all the stuff you see here and am selling it at a fraction of what I spent. You could go out surveying tomorrow with this equipment. Below is a list of what's included, also see the pictures. I have many more pictures too, so if you are interested, I can send them to you via email or you can stop by and see it all for yourself. Give me a heads-up if you want to come see it and use it in person so I can make sure the batteries are charged.

  • 1 - Geodimeter 444 Total Station, 1" angular instrument in excellent condition; there is a knob missing but I put a rubber tab on top and it works pretty well; the instrument could probably use a calibration, but my tests have shown that it is measuring and turning angles quite accurately.
  • 2 - Geodimeter laser tribrachs with controllers; I never used the laser feature but they also have optical plummets
  • 2 - Prism adapters for the above tribrachs
  • 3 - Horseshoe batteries that mount directly to the instrument; two of them were recelled about a year ago and hold a 4-5 hour charge each. The third one needs to be recelled.
  • 1 - Brick battery; it will hold a charge for a couple of hours, needs to be recelled
  • 1 - Charger tree with controller; allows you to charge brick and two horseshoes at the same time; also reconditions the batteries overnight for longevity
  • 1 - Geodimeter Geodat 500 data collector
  • 1 - Multi-cable to connect the 444 with a battery and a computer
  • 5 - Prism pole mounts (these attach to the top of the tribrachs and the prisms mount to these mini-poles)
  • 2 - Geodimeter prisms with targets (these mount on the prism pole mounts above)
  • 2 - Geodimeter prisms without targets (these also mount on the prism pole mounts above)
  • 1 - extra laser tribrach controller
  • 1 - GeoComm system (for communication from instrument to prism -- I've never used this)
  • 2 - Hard shell cases with backpack-style straps; these cases hold the instrument and all of the accessories listed above
  • 2 - Cables to power the 444 from a car battery
  • 1 - Lietz SDR-22 data collector
  • 1 - Leica GDF-121 tribrach
  • 1 - 13-foot fiberglass level rod; I don't think this has ever been used
  • 1 - CST aluminum tripod
  • 4 - 30" traffic cones with reflectors
  • A collection of surveying books, as follows:
    • Technical Drawing - MacMillan
    • Surveying - Bouchard - 1st edition
    • Surveying - Bouchard, Moffitt - 4th edition
    • Corner Restoration Circulars - 1883 to 1974
    • Civil and Professional Engineers' Act, Land Surveyors' Act, 1965 - State of California pamphlet
    • Restoration of Lost or Obliterated Corners & Subdivision of Sections - US Dept. of the Interior pamphlet
    • Land Survey Descriptions - Wattles 1956
    • (2) large binders with GPS workshop information
    • 1973 BLM Manual of Surveying Instructions printed on 8.5" x 11" paper and in binder

Asking $1,100 or best offer
Feel free to make offers on individual items. Note: I will update this list as items are sold individually.

All of the items are in good to excellent condition unless otherwise stated above. I take good care of my equipment.

Wendell, I think something is wrong with your Zero's, there should be another one in there....besides a surveyor does not get rid of his stuff just to move!!! You can keep your tools and teach the neighbor kid to use it on weekends, I got a lot of people into surveying that way!!!

Well, the instrument is pretty old, even though it works great, but in this economy I don't think I can sell it for what it's really worth. I don't use any of it and it's just sitting here, so someone might as well get a good deal on some good stuff.

I've been trying to sell it at what I thought were extremely low prices on eBay and barely got anyone even looking. So I dropped it to less than half what I was asking on eBay and I'll go lower if I have to.

Florida This Time Of Year

My niece called last night. She says it is 80° during the day.

I could use that right now. Stop by in PA on your way Angel and take me along.

Thats a real good deal for someone wanting to get started. That equipment was top of the line in the 90's. Great optics and fairly good onboard programs if you are used to DOS style entry. It operates very similiar to the late Geodimeter 600 series and the very early 5600 series.

We were able to get alot of work done very quickly using a Geodimeter 440.
Not a woods gun, but very well suited for construction and roadway type work.

There is a learning curve...getting used to the geodimeter style of doing things, but it can be done. JRL

I love my Geodimeter 650!! only thing it doesn't do is reflectorless...

I would by that gear in a NY minute if I was closer. hell, I think I paid 5 or 6 hundred for my Crain tripod..

Wendell - did you sell this yet?
I am interested if it is still there.
Thanks Wendell and Angel - you are both very cool!
BTW I will pay the asking price.
We would have to work out shipping - don't
see that as a problem.
I am probably going to do my own thing someday
and this would let me do it. I think it is a good
deal.

Thanks!

The internal battery will probably need replaced if it has not been replaced within the last 2 years. Great time for a clean and adjust. Just saying.

I also want to say the Geodat has an internal battery that gets replaced as well? We always upgraded the firmware on the geodat when we sent the gun in for the internal battery replacement.

Well, for the price of everything included, I can't imagine the cost of service even for a full calibration being of concern...

You would be correct, sir. When you start it up, the screen displays: "B ALL U CAN B". 🙂
