I have a Carlson Explorer for sale. I picked it up as a parts donor for my other Explorer, but I see myself doing a data collector upgrade before I ever have to crack this one open.
It seems to function perfect. The screen is perfect. The shell has no cracks. All buttons on the keypad work. Some of the rubber bumpers show wear. The battery compartment is in perfect shape. It has the radio bubble, but there is nothing in it.
No battery. No charger. Jett cable that I never used is included.
The previous owner upgraded this serial number, so, what you see is what you get. The registration can not be upgraded. This is a good emergency backup or parts donor. Maybe someone here can use it.

I am interested, but I am not sure what you mean by 'the registration cannot be upgraded'.
I am guessing, and I emphasize guessing, that the previous owner of that data collector purchased new hardware, and transferred his license to that new hardware, thus, rendering that installation of software not eligible for upgrading privileges.
I would assume, that the hardware could probably be used to run a separate, new version of the software purchased in your name, with whatever versions of the software that you needed. I would suggest you check first if that is your intention. At any rate, this is a great deal for anyone wanting to learn the carlson software, and it won't last long.

I think that is what I understood from the post but was not sure.
I am interested. I just need a backup unit. Unfortunately I cant pay before Wednesday. I am waiting for payments to come in before I can topup my paypal account. So if it still there I want it.
