If there are any serious map collectors here.

Original 1879 GLO map of Louisiana.
Matted and framed.
See description in link provided.

The noted seller in the link is offering reprints framed and matted for $275.

I have seen an u framed folded inferior and poor condition copy of the original sell for the same price.

This is the 1879 color edition by the cartographer Roeser In VG condition
If someone wants to make a fair offer on the original,MESSAGE or leave a contact here. If someone in Louisiana wants it. I'll deliver to door.
No offers in post please

I would love to have that, but I'm sure the price is pretty steep.

yeah maybe so, @andrewm

The folded map that I mentioned above ($275) is in poor condition and it is the B/W edition not the hand tinted edition.
The David R. site is selling a reproduction print for $90 and framed for $275.
I looked in my Charting Louisiana -500 years of Maps by the Historic New Orleans Collection book and it is included. So they have one in their collection. I don't think they need two.
I am acquainted with one of the authors ( engaged him as a speaker of an LSPS seminar once)... so I might email him and ask for a ball park appraisal or some advice.

You can message an offer, I wont be offended.
Thanks for your interest
