A while back, I posted about needing to record a video of a demonstration of software use here:

As an update, I ended up getting the Jing download and playing around a little bit. It ended up working just about perfectly, so I opted to pay for the "PRO" upgrade. I used that software to prepare several short videos of different functions of a software package.

Thanks for the suggestions. The advice you guys gave worked out well.

Camstudio is a freebie and will also capture the sound. It takes a bit of experimentation to find the right settings, and you may not get the best quality for a full screen at high res, but it is free and simply to use. Works for training vids for our crews. Pocket Controller Pro works pretty good to capture vid from mobile device/data collector.
