I just got this email form NJSPLS.?ÿ It seems the NJ State Board has eliminated the New Jersey State Specific Land Surveyors Exam.

Not sure how I feel about this.

To all-

Recall our past discussions at the NJSPLS Board Meetings regarding the NJ State Specific Land Surveyors Exam, and the idea that the State Board did not administer it in April with the intention of omitting altogether.

Yesterday, members of the NJSPLS Executive Board spent the day at the NJ State House Complex with our MBI-GS, lobbyist, Danielle Alexander and NJSPLS Executive Director, Mark Husik.

We met with various members of the legislature, as well as the Special Senior Counsel to Governor Phil Murphy and our State Boardƒ??s Deputy AG.

Through much discussion it appears the NJ State Specific LS Exam will be eliminated by our State Board.

NJSPLS is proposing legislation to have the NJ State Specific LS Exam codified by adding one sentence at the end of the current Law 45:8-35 (2) (ii) ƒ?? including the New Jersey specific portion of the current land surveying examination.

Please let me know of any questions or comments.

Thank you,

Ambrose
