And the database says I'm good to go.. Not certain I care for taking the test before applying, but that part is over. Anyone else get good news today?
My son got his good news a while back.

He must have gotten his app in quick. I sent mine in after the process change before they changed the site. They sent it back with all references open. I started over, took the test and sent the new packet once I heard I passed.
Glad the process is behind me. The Wife and I plan to retire on the coast eventually. I would like to have some good Oregon experience under my belt before heading that way...
I just meant that he had passed the test. He hasn't placed a high priority on getting his app in.

Make sure you don't spend your whole wad on the coast house. About January/February your going to want to spend some time in a dry warm climate. My 2 cents, Jp

Thanks for the tip. We have been visiting at various times of the year and driving up and down the coast. I suspect we will come inland just enough to stay in the moderated strip near the ocean but outside any disaster prone zones.

Probably a good idea to rent a place for a year before buying. It doesn't snow there, but the winters are long, cold, and damp. You are stuck inside all the same.
There is a Portland based company that seems to always be looking for staff for its Gearhart (Seaside) office.
