Got this email and thought there may be some interest here. It's only $12/year to become an OGUG member and lunch is provided at this event. I've attended other OGUG meetings and they are always amazing!

RSVP by September 10 to [email protected]

Posted here with permission. 🙂

====================

Members and Friends,

This is a friendly reminder regarding the annual meeting of the Oregon GNSS Users Group that will be held on Friday, September 17, at the Three Sisters Conference Center of the Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center in Redmond, Oregon. So that we may order the proper amount of food and have the venue set up for the right amount of people, please RSVP by the end of the day this Friday, September 10, if you plan on coming and havenƒ??t already RSVPƒ??d.

If youƒ??ve already RSVPƒ??d that youƒ??ll be coming, please excuse this email. And if you previously RSVPƒ??d your attendance and can no longer come, please let me know by the end of this week; we pay for both the venue and the food on a per person basis, and try to be good stewards of our membersƒ?? dues, avoiding unnecessary waste.?ÿ

Our current Chair, Randy Oberg, has assembled a variety of presenters and topics, including a research project on ORGN project control by Chase Simpson of OSU, a presentation on Shake Alert by Rex Flake of Central Washington University, an ORGN update by Randy Oberg and Eric Zimmerman of ODOT, and an update on the OCRS and NATRF2022 by Brady Callahan of Oregon State Parks. And weƒ??re especially pleased to announce that Bob Green, PS, recently featured in the American Surveyor, is flying in from Colorado to present on two different topics: Satellite-Based Correction Services and a comparison of RTX post-processing with OPUS reports. A copy of the agenda is attached. An email with additional details will be sent out next week prior to the meeting to all who have RSVPƒ??d their attendance.

As always, the meeting is free to members, as is lunch, snacks, beverages, and a light breakfast. We expect 5 PDH contact hours will be available for attendees who require them for their profession. If you do plan on attending, please RSVP to me at [email protected] so that we have enough seats and food for everyone. It should come as no surprise, but as a reminder, face coverings will be required per current State mandates, regardless of vaccination status. An exception is made for those actively giving a speech or presentation. The City of Redmond has generously donated a supply of masks, sanitizer, and disinfectant wipes specifically for our groupƒ??s use.

And please, forward this announcement to your peers and co-workers who use GNSS in their professions as wellƒ??weƒ??d be glad to have them join us.?ÿ

If you arenƒ??t currently a member of the Oregon GNSS Users Group, please consider joining us. We advocate for all of those who utilize GNSS systems professionally in Oregon. Membership is a bargain at only $12/year. We typically hold a full-day workshop on current GNSS topics every spring, and members are entitled to attend our semi-annual meetings/presentations for free. A link to start or renew your membership is here: http://www.ogug.net/membership-info.html

Hope to see you in a couple of weeks!
