Hello, Im new to the forum

I was researching the idea of getting my A.A.S Degree in Land Surveying and came across this online course. Going to college full time is totally out of the question hence I have 2 kids and a mortgage to pay, along with working full time. This online course seems to be a perfect fit for me.

So, I was wondering if anyone here has ever heard of this online degree or any other colleges that offer an online degree.

Thanks in advance,

Phil

I'm assuming you meant OSU-OKC.

I highly recommend the program. Deral Paulk, myself and a number of other Okie surveyors have served as adjunct instructors over the years.

Years (30+) ago we had night classes and some folks were driving 100 miles and more just to attend the classes. I think the attendance suffered. The on-line classes became the "shot-in-the-arm" that the program needed.

I haven't been involved with the school in the last few years but I understand the on-line courses are very popular. I suggest you look into it.

Yes, that's the course I meant. Thanks for the quick reply, I will be contacting them tomorrow for a course curriculum, I am hoping that some of my classes that I took at a Community college 20 years ago will transfer but I will have too see.

Phil-

Welcome to the forum.

Distance learning is a fairly new topic here but it is undoubtedly in our future as surveyors. Sounds like you are on the right track already. You can get a two year and even a four year degree in surveying online. Other posters will likely lay out a lot more info for you.

My guess is that it is quite likely that any credits you have from a community college will transfer to your benefit.

You are likely facing a lot of hard work after hours but I encourage you to make the commitment and see it through.

It appears they might be very flexible on the non surveying courses.

OSU-OKC

If you need a 4 year degree try NMSU at Las Cruses. The program there was originally put together by Dr. Jim Reilly. It is supposed to be quite good.B-)
