Howdy,

For those with an interest in the math end of geodesy and GPS, there is a new textbook by Kai Borre and Gilbert Strang that is indicated to be now available.

Title is: Algorithms for Global Positioning ?New !   (February 2012) ?ISBN   978-0-980232-74-5

It surely replaces the authors' estimable text: Linear Algebra, Geodesy and GPS.

It can be ordered through: http://www.wellesleycambridge.com/

I am not a salesman. I don't get a dime for posting this. I am a big fan of their previous book. Hopefully it is considered appropriate.

Cheers,

DMM

I purchased the book, unfortunately it is missing Linear Algebra section. The section was included in the old book here is link to Linear Algebra. 95 % of material is accessible.

Without linear algebra the new book is incomplete. Of course it is assumed that one is familiar with it, for those who are not, like me, the link above may help. I heard not all linear algebra books tell about the left null space, which is important. The other choice is to buy Gilbert Strang' Introduction to Linear Algebra, 4th Edition book
