Hello, I am student in techical university of Greece, i would like to know how to begin to survey with leica ts 02 and survce ts.
Can anybody here help me?
That is some hands-on technical training. Find the manuals on the internet, sure, but a few hours in-person with a proficient instructor is what you need, not internet advice.
Thanks for the response, here in Greece no one use total stations with data collectors so it is difficult for me to find someone to learn me something. May be i can find an e-learning way? Can anyone suggest me something?
No one uses data collectors? How about on-board memory modules? How do they store field data? Field book?

Here in Greece we are years ago in surveing!everyone use field books or the memory of total station!
The SurvCE manual is better than any training I have taken. Read it thoroughly and practice what it is telling you as you read through.
Which Leica Total Station do you have?
I have lica ts 02 7''. i read maual of survce but i want someone to show me and explain me some thing more!
Without some good field experience I would not know how to start.
I was taught on a Leica TC905 and TC303 both using SurvCE data collectors. In one afternoon I was running the gun by myself and the data collector. The party chief kept the field notes.
Where to start? Setup the instrument and hookup the data collector. Setup a backsight. Be sure the instrument and collector are talking to each other. Take a shot on the backsight. Look at the instrument readings and see if that matches what the data collector sees.
Although I haven't surveyed much in several years I think I could still show you this in a few hours assuming you have at least some field experience. I could not show you how to do stake sloping but I could show you to take regular shots and stake out points and stuff.
Without having either pieces of equipment to put your hands on, I would not know where to begin.
You have asked a big question. A lot bigger question than I asked years ago when I started doing this stuff.
Eric.
