Can anyone tell me what year Illinois started to require the Baccalaureate degree for Surveying? I am exploring licensure by endorsement.

Thanks,

Matt

Pretty sure they had it in the early 90's when I was there. Left in 96 for the program at New Mexico State. I'm not sure how long the sunset period was, though.

Here is a link that may help you, you will have to sort through it all to hopefully find the rules. I was licensed in 1992, and the degree requirments hadn't kicked in at that point, so I'm going to guess it was the mid to late 1990's.

David,

I recall the discussion of the sunset time frame, but at the time, was really just getting into surveying. I didn't start surveying until 93 and didn't know I wanted to really do it until 95 or so. By then, it was way too late to get a license in Illinois, and there were no degree survey programs in state.

Andy
