I just found out my brother's 2nd oldest just got his B.S. in Education degree from SIU (Southern IL Univ. - Salukis) the other weekend. His is considering going for a Masters. We'll see.

Another friend of mine's wife just got her PhD. as well. I think her's is in education as well. I know she's been doing/teaching online classes for some university for several years already. Greg now jokingly says I may refer to them as Dr. and Mr. Teresa [lastname]. He has contemplated going for a Masters in either computer science or math from GA Tech for years. He says he's too old for sitting in the classroom crap anymore. As an "experienced" Vietnam vet who got spit on after coming home and then college grad, I can see his point.

Anyone else out there got someone they care to boast about?

E

Yep. Me! 🙂 After 15 years of on and off studying, I finally completed the requirements for an Associate of Science degree this semester. Out of 60 required credits, I have completed 95. I am not quitting this time until I finish my bachelors degree.

A good friend of mine just graduated with her MBA.

Another good friend's fiance graduated this semester with a BA in Education.

Another friend just completed his MS in Computer Science and was accepted into the PhD program at WVU.

Great accomplishments.

This is one of the few years in the past 20 without at least one family member graduating from something.

BS

Everyone knows what BS stands for.

Of course beyond that is MS which stands for More of the Same

And then there's PhD = Piled Higher and Deeper

Congratulations to all the graduates out there. I went to the school of hard knocks ... but I flunked that.....

You forgot to use either the sarcasm font or the "Tongue in Cheek" Smilie.
