Good to see your posts.

I've been suspecting that those sinkhole stories were a coverup for the bunkers you were building.

😉

My favorite TDD story...

I still remember on the old RPLS.com board, Ted bragging about setting up on ten pennies in under a minute. Sure had a lot of people calling BS. He sure set us all straight though.

My favorite TDD story...

Those days are gone by for me, but there was a time i could do it, also on large traverses i may get real lucky 1-3 times drop the gun and have to touch nothing, zero and go---one time in my career my step son was working a summer with me and having trouble setting up a set, he was about to quit. i took the set off his shoulders and said watch me in under 5 seconds, he smiled and said to the others around lets see come watch ted do this. i took it off my shoulder plopped it down and viola a homerun a "one second setup" --needless to say they were shocked--i have done that dozens of times but this time on command with 4 people watching--man i was strutting my stuff for days.. about 2 more days practice my stepson finally mastered the 5-10 second setup. i still tease him today his first setups were like 30 minutes, i would have to run ahead show him over and over to try and get work done--i still recall loud cursing, kicking the legs, throwing the plumb bob and a general hissy fit by him for not being able to master it quickly--i had an engineer that had the same disfunction it took him 2 weeks of day and night practice to master it.. its really odd that when they get it they get it and even they recall how stupid they acted---TDD

Ted double D..... I think ya might have set that gun up a few to many times! LOL I have way to much on my mind to do it that quick. Under a minute, sure. But then again that sort of speed has never been necessary to me. 10 pennies in under a minute! You're a machine!

I can do that, but I have to combine all ten setups onto one dime.

I'm thinking December 3rd. However, I must say that TDD is an excellent surveyor with a creative mind and I do enjoy his survey posts. Plus, and this is a big plus, anyone who rescues dogs and cats must have a soft heart down deep, and I appreciate that.

Thank you for bringing him back.
