Who's Working Today?
Not at the office, but clean up mode.
I had a LOT of rain last night.
The yard and driveway are trashed.
Yard work. It is a never ending battle, but I love it.
I've got a couple Land Surveying projects that will be delivered tomorrow morning.
So I'm cranking them out ASAP.

I would be working in the yard but I don't own a bass boat. 🙁
We got 5" yesterday and it's still raining right now. The prediction is for all week.
I'm starting to get cabin fever. Changed the oil on the bike and got it partially packed for my trip to California this week and it's set for three days now.

yep, count me in for working today. Not much rain here . Tomorrow a client's son is going to spend the day in the field with me to get a bite sized idea of what surveying is about... should be fun.

I got a couple of small jobs lined up for later this week and thats it. The yard looks great this year...way too much free time, heck, I'm tired of goin fishin'.
I am heading into the office in a few minutes. I have seventeen legal descriptions to write!
Yup, I'm in the office today. Since I'm off to the summer ABET Commission meetings later this week (Wed - Sat), I've got to get some stuff done like payroll, end of quarter taxes, reports, etc. I always hate this time at the end of each quarter because it's just a waste of valuable time.
Working on finishing the deck around the pool today.
Headed to Myrtle Beach once the kids get around. 😉
Half a dozen easement exhibit to prepare, then some research for this weeks field work (it's real nice having plats, deeds, and in the county my next job is in, water and sewer plans online).
A lot to get done this week before I leave Friday morning for ESRI (someone has to keep Deral out of trouble).
Jim.
Me, MLB and Hunter Thompson all together. I hope no one has notified the San Diego police already.
Pillage and looting and heck, that will just be during the day at the conference.
Deral
Jim's bigger worry should be y'all dragging him down rather than he trying to keep you out of trouble.
And just how much looting do you expect to do? Afterall, you can carry just so much stuff home on your bike.
David.
The weather is looking pretty bleak so I might have to take the blue bird of happiness instead. 1500 miles is hard enough without several hundred in wet weather. I don't like playing golf in rain either.
I do have a filter and oil so I might as well get a fresh oil change just in case.
Deral
You'll be a lot more comfortable in the Thunderchicken if the weather is bad.
BTW - did my post below about the section corner vaguely remind you of your double corner from a couple years ago?
One of the positive things about the recession is that I can now take the holidays off.
Yes. It brought back some memories. It was an excellent recovery on your part.
The Bluebird of happiness has her top off so she will still be a sporting ride around the mountains. And the ipod with several thousand tunes will help in the journey.
The Special K will not get her promised bike ride but hopefully the t-bird will suffice.
And if nothing else, the T-bird might be more of a "chick magnet".
Put me in the "working all day" column. I count my blessings that I have a lot of work to do. There are many who would be glad to work today if they could.
I'm working today. Heck I worked finishing up a plat yesterday. Took a break to watch he 'works' though.
Before you ask "do you have THAT much work that you have to work on a holiday?"
The answer is "No. I'm just that broke." 🙂
