I'm a bit tired this morning but I'm glad I didn't turn off the Mizzou-Arizona game last night. Arizona State looked like it had things in hand and Mizzou was having trouble getting anything going. Then boom it turned in a tie game and over time. But mercy, the game did not end out time until after 1:00am.

#21 Mizzou 30- Arizona State 37 (perhaps I should say formerly #21 Mizzou)

I'm rooting big time for Joe Pa today but the press doesn't give them much of a chance. Go Penn State!

You are so tired that you chose the wrong category or is that something that all PSU fans do? 😉

I hope PSU can score more that 3 pts this year against Bama.

I think that Saban was a gracious host last year and gave respect to Paterno by not running up the score in the 2nd half.

Butall this sounds like a lot of SEC envy around here.

I'm hoping Georgia can pull it off against South Carolina ONLY for the purpose of giving Boise some cred.

My wishful opinionated predictions.

Utah over USC (Not a Lane Kiffin fan, like I didn't need another reason to dislike USC to begin with)

BYU over Tejas.

Notre Dame over Michigan

Charleston Southern over FSU (only cause I HATE Free Shoes University)

South Carolina over Georgia (Even though he is coaching at another school, I still pull for Spurrier to do well)

Penn St over Alabama (cause I like the underdog and don't like BAMA)

Robert. I thought that I put it in sports. Sorry, it was an honest mistake on my part. That doesn't happen often.

And I'm not so much a Penn State fan as a fan of Joe Pa because of what he stands for when it comes to student athletes.

My Upset picks:

Middle Tennessee over Georgia Tech: MTSU ran the option over the last couple years with dwight dasher at QB so they wont be caught off guard.

Georgia over South Carolina: GA will rebound this week and Marcus Lattimore fails to impress.

Hawaii over Washington: Hawaii will shut down the run game early and exploit a depleted secondary.

Utah over USC:The Utes will come in well coached and double Woods leaving Barkley all alone with nowhere to throw.

Penn State over Bama: probably not going to happen but you can never count out happy valley.

Homer pick as always: Michigan over Notre Dame

Here is my problem-
If I say " Oregon, could you suck any worse?" , would it be a rhetorical question or would they take it as a new mission in life?

Good grief! :bad:

Naturally as a Penn State grad, I'll be pulling for the Nittany Lions...JoePA tries to do it the right way. QB McGloin is a local kid (walk on)...
I don't expect a victory, but like Chris Berman says, "That's why they play the games."

It's Going To Be A Rough Year In Nittany Valley

No quarterback, no running back and no strong group of receivers. The defense may well have held Alabama to the fewest points of the year, but they were on the field too long and too often.

Two more gimme games before the Big 10 schedule, which closes with Nebraska, Ohio State and Wisconsin.

I was amazed at the number of red shirts in the stands. Alabama had 5,000 tickets and it looked like they bought 15,000 from Penn State regulars.

Any way it was the largest crowd ever to see Alabama play.

Minnesota Coach Has Seizure On Field

Minnesota had the ball on the NMS 25, 4th and 10 with 20 seconds to play, trailing New Mexico State 28-21 and the first year coach Jerry Kill collapses on the field
"due to the heat"?

He has collapsed twice before.

He should be in our prayers and out of football.

I was surprised by the Iowa v. Iowa St. upset. The last two minutes of Michigan v. ND was great!

Rough Day For The Big 10

Alabama 27 Penn State 11, to be expected from the #3 team.

New Mexico State 28 Minnesota 21
Virginia 34 Indiana 31
Rice 24 Purdue 22
Iowa State 44 Iowa 41

Ohio State 27 Toledo 22, barely a win
Michigan had to score 28 in 4th quarter to beat Notre Dame 35-31

whatever

I don't know what you are referring to, but that ball clearly didn't make it over the goal line. Exciting game though! By the way, I don't like either team (miss st and auburn), but I was pulling for Miss St since I hate Auburn more!

Agreed the last play of the game MSU did not cross the goal line with the ball. The picture is from an earlier drive in the game after Auburn went for it on fourth down, you see the turf between the nose of the ball and the stick yet the refs gave them the first down (which ultimately resulted in an Auburn touchdown).

Just another day in the corrupt SEC

The ref is even tilting the ball forward and it does not close the gap.

But in the SEC close enough is good for the favored few and has been for years.
