Me, I am taking a break from working 10 hours a day in the heat and getting up before the roosters even think about crowing and will be helping my youngest son move back to school for his final year in college. I am sure a few cold suds will be downed and for sure a nice juicy steak will be devoured.

Yea!!! Last kid, last year!!! I am grinning from ear to ear.

Back to being solo until Christmas break and then when he walks the isle he will walk into a partnership with with me.

Good timing, I hope, things are really starting to pick up around here, so the company should be healthy for him to begin his career. Fingers crossed for sure!!

He still has a few hours to meet the state board regs, but is doable online and then he has to pass the tests, but that is a few years away.

Even if it is Aggie Land, I am going to have some fun.

Have a great weekend!

Randy

Driving 4 hours to the nearest Ikea store to pick up cabinets for a new kitchen island we are building. Yes, I  my wife.

Work day at deer camp. I joined a different club with a friend from the old one. I think there will be a better chance for that trophy Whitetail that has eluded me for forty years.

Enjoy the steaks and booze

Congrats Randy! Rasing a second generation surveyor is living the dream. I am sure he is a fine young man.

Don't be so sure. He might be just like his Old Man.
Just joking, Randy, you must be proud and you should be.
Congratulations,

Don

Yeah, congrats on that Randy, mine doesn't have any interest in what the old man does, but I don't fault him, I never had an interest in my Dads work (electician)

What am I doing this weekend? Monsoon season has hit Nome! 3 weeks of record rain on the West coast of AK. Over 100 suction dredge gold miners shipped $$$$$ worth of dredging equipment up and the sea has been too rough to go out in. I can get a killer deal on a dredge right now, pennies on the dollar! One of the big land owners (yes, a gold co.!) set up a tent city and these poor shmucks are campin' in the rain.

Worse, I have a pile of water and sewer to do, with a deadline of Sept. 31. Ain't gonna make it! Blowing my budget on OT so as to squeeze an extra day per week out of it. Can't get enough heavy equipment or dump trucks to actually do the job efficiently, so .....???

So, my weekend will be manning pumps and generators in the rain. Yippee Kiyi F'in A!

Ya'll have a good one, sippin' my adult beverage right now!

Weekend started last night (Fri) with a "Fish & Chip" night at the club. Today so far have pruned the roses, gone shopping and done some work. This afternoon I have hockey (field) and tonight is a quiz night fundraiser. Tommorrow AM is the club AGM. I am the treasurer so I have to go. Tomorrow pm I will relax unless otherwise instructed by SWMBO.

Cheers

Graham

My sons and I are meeting up with some friends to shoot skeet - getting ready for a three day dove hunting trip to Gatesville to go hunting with an old surveyor buddy. Now that I got both sons out of A&M, I plan to get back to more hunting and fishing with them again - it's just no fun going by yourself.

Jeff,

Opening day of dove season is my favorite day of the year.

Martindale is where I go for the first hunt, it is guaranteed to be a good time.

The birds are so heavy that they block out the sun, even I can get the limit.

Good friends, good hunting and not to mention that it is opening weekend of college football.

Shoot straight buddy,

Randy

I've been into heavy birds before, but never something like that. This is that magic weekend - opening day on Saturday and hunt through Monday (Labor Day). It only happens about ever 6 years or so and won't happen again until 2018. But maybe in 2017 when Sept 1 is on a Friday, I will make it a 4 day weekend - Woohoo!

I am working on drafting 3 ALTA's that I have been working on the field work for over the last 2 weeks. Received the title commitment on 2 others previously submitted to the client as preliminary so I will be going over their comments and those tc's as well.

Also compiling a map from research to begin the field work on a 30 acre boundary...dispute situation, descriptions from early 20th century and possibility of much of the field evidence being mostly wiped out by a logging operation. Yippee.

Congrats Randy.

Don't forget about grad school. That's good for another couple of years or more.

I wouldn't sweat being done on September 31. Or February 31 for that matter.
