Actually seen him twice this year. ?ÿSaw his one man acoustic show at the Lexington Opera House in February. Absolutely the best show I've ever been to. ?ÿThen saw him and his band last Saturday at the Carson Center in Paducah. ?ÿAnother great show. ?ÿI think he's still about the best guitar player and all around artist there is. What y'all think?
I like Tritt.?ÿ Never seen him in concert, but listened to plenty of his tunes on my truck radio...that is, by the way, tuned to BOTH genres I enjoy....country AND western. ??ÿ
I won't even venture an opinion on whether he's the "about the best guitar player and all around artist there is".?ÿ Hell, they're all good.?ÿ But now in my small world the absolute best live performances I've seen of late were New Riders of the Purple Sage and Ray Benson with Asleep at the Wheel.
It's all in what sounds good to you at any given moment.
Yeah, they're all good. But the ones who can get up there with just a stool and a guitar and play a solid 2 hours of acoustic versions of ?ÿmostly songs they wrote and recorded are rare.
"If guitars were outlawed, only outlaws would have guitars!" (unknown)
Travis grew up and still lives about 8-10 miles from me.?ÿ He used to play at some dives around here.?ÿ Kinda makes me wish I had gone then.

Enjoy,?ÿ

It's always good music when you're on a mission from God.
