Well, it's been a week, and I NEED to get out of the house for a bit.

Gas Station, Post Office, Bank, Smoke Shop, Grocery Store ????

Nothing pressing, but I need a break!

Wish me luck...

My dogs encourage me to get out AT LEAST once a day.?ÿ Luckily the weather has been nice enough that we can walk the neighborhood.?ÿ A lot of folks in the area walk so we will pass (6 feet apart) and pass on news of our neighbors.?ÿ My wife had a doctor's appointment this morning and stopped by the grocery store on the way home.?ÿ She said there were still some empty shelves but that most had been restocked.?ÿ I'm sure we have at least two weeks of most foods and a couple of months of beef, pork and chicken.?ÿ We've kept a freezer going for over 40 years now and stock it up when we catch a good sale at Costco.

I just got back from a bike ride around town. I needed to get a scan of a Corps of Engineers map for brand X. Lighter than usual traffic was appreciated. Most places open, Starbucks, Safeway, UPS, Post Office, Teriyaki, Pet food store, pot shop (s), even a brewery was dispensing to go growlers. You know the essentials.?ÿ

Good luck Loyal, let us know how you've fared.

It looks like Thanksgiving Day around here. The only establishments doing business are the gas stations and grocery stores, everything else is closed.?ÿ Restaurants can do curbside sales only.?ÿ Most of them that are open were already set up for drive through anyway.?ÿ Chick Filet's parking lot looks like the zombie apocalypse.?ÿ

I'm staying' away from them all.?ÿ Except the package store.?ÿ And it's good to see his shelves getting thin...we all need to get snockered and stay at home watching Netflix.?ÿ?ÿ

Got gas at the Quik Stop, they are fully stocked with paper products which is not much shelf space.

I'm limiting my venturing out.

Today trip to bank inside ATM. Two people at the social distance. One seemed sane. The other was this woman who must have been on another planet for the last few weeks. Another to little shop I go to twice weekly. One other customer wearing a medical mask. At the social distance. The other a new cashier who just lost her job as a waitress at a small Cafe here. She Purelled after our transaction and gave me a squirt too from a very large bottle.

Hey Loyal.?ÿ Hope you found everything you needed.?ÿ You had asked about this earlier wishing you had known about the webinar.?ÿ

Gravity at NGS: Why We Need it and How We Measure It

When I "attended" the webinar, I had no sound so gave up.?ÿ I haven't seen the separate PowerPoint presentation become available yet, but the slides are in the video.

A little secret......................you don't have to hide your TP stash in the freezer, but who would look there if they were out to steal your TP supply.

As I entered my favorite convenience store today I noted they had moved the ice cream freezer case to block off access to the little area with a few tables/chairs for those who want to eat a food purchase before leaving.?ÿ This areas is normally frequented each morning from six to about eight and then again from around one to around two in the afternoon by a group of male senior citizens.?ÿ Some refer to this as the meeting of the Liars Club.?ÿ Others refer to it as the Dead Pecker Society.?ÿ Damn, I'm gonna miss those guys.

It was a lot like a Sunday afternoon around town. Less than usual traffic for a Friday, all of the saloons are closed (or at least the ones I go into from time to time), nearly all of the restaurants were closed as well (except for take-out orders). The grocery store was a little better than last Friday, but still pretty slim for canned goods and such, empty for things like TP, disinfectant wipes, rubbing alcohol, etc.?ÿ

Luckily the Geezer Club meet at a friends barn today, and beers & snacks were plentiful.

Life goes on... 😎 ?ÿ

?ÿDid my first grocery run the other day, it was alright but thinking that I will go at a more off hour now that work has been stopped. Of course work has been stopped for many others here in the great state of Ohio, so the off hours may be harder to find.

I was planning to spend some of the time and get some interaction with a walking club that I am a member of but they have suspended all hikes. Probably the best choice considering the challenge that some members may have had maintaining distance and the fact that the majority are over 60.

No problem finding TP but getting disinfectant wipes has stumped me on 3 trips, a lot of people here are buying bottled water, not sure what that's about.?ÿ

My extended family is all back home in Seattle, and at least the older ones have FINALLY started to take more drastic measures. I had a chat with my teenager yesterday and think I persuaded him?ÿ against doing food delivery via one of those phone app ripoffs. 1099 the f out of here.

Cheapest here are Seneca and LD.

Former from Canada owned by Na tive American company and latter made in Turkey.

There are some others also made in Korea but not going there.
