Along with a site well long passed, this has been an amazing adventure. Much better than Bill and Ted"s.

So, having your own party here? Wendell's anniversary thread has been going for a while with many chiming in.
You made me look it up.?ÿ Apparently I joined on July 1.?ÿ I thought it might be later as I recall there were a fair number who joined ahead of the July 1 official start date so have been around longer than me.?ÿ Wendell must have used those individuals to tweek the system.?ÿ Nevertheless it is wonderful to see so many who have been on this ride for the full ten years.?ÿ Many go back to the earlier versions that lead to the creation of this one.?ÿ I'm not sure when I first found the first site but it was the one Mr. Mark Deal invented.?ÿ As I recall there was a fellow from Texas named Jerry McGarrity or something halfway close to that who moderated the site to help clean up the messes on Aisle 7.
My sister, Mrs. Smith, turns 60 today.
A family friend posted pictures on Facebook yesterday of her now 16 year-old son celebrating his birthday. That reminded me that his grandmother was having her 66th birthday as well. Exactly 50 years apart. Dang it, if she had accepted that little ring from my box of Cracker Jacks that I tried to give her back when she was in First Grade the world might be very different. 😉
Between this and "the other board" I can't remember who was where. People I remember: Nearly Normal, Trimble Man (DP) Nate, Hole Digger(ahem), Keith, Binge, Paden by another name?, TDD and a few others (can't remember) who were thrown off both sites and one dude incaracted.
What about the rest of you "veterans" out there??ÿ ?????ÿ
and one dude incaracted.

Kent and I had several conversations about the updated RPLS.?ÿ He sent me an email and told me about Wendell's "new" board.?ÿ I was the 20th. to signed up, I believe Kent was #3 or 4.
I watched for days as the "great migration" occurred and our numbers climbed.?ÿ It was about as exciting as things could get on the ol' interweb back then... 😉 ?ÿ
Sure doesn't seem like 10 years.?ÿ Most of this forum has been fun.?ÿ But time flies whether you are having fun or not.
I signed up with the prior board a few years before its demise, and recognize most of those names, but I guess I was too late for Nearly Normal. Hole Digger, who knew his ass (donkey) from a hole in the ground, is still with us under a new name.?ÿ What was Paden's prior alias, if any?
....What was Paden's prior alias, if any?
I was Paden on the old board also..until I had a hard-drive failure and signed back in with my slightly more legal name.?ÿ When this place came about I revived my 'Cash' moniker.
No way I wanted to bust up Wendell's party, I was just checking on a message reply and the "joined date" popped up and I thought, WOW!
Paul in PA
BTW I started on the earlier board as Paul and found I was running into confusing with Paul Plutae and others. I even replied a few times and signed Paulk with a heavy hand. So I switched to Paul in PA to distinguish myself, pun intended.
I note that Wendell has 668 pages of members and recently past the 10,000 total. Did I miss the memo on that to?

It took me all the way to July 13 to finally lie my way in. ???? ?ÿ
I was late.?ÿ It was January 2011 before I got here.?ÿ I do have an excuse though.?ÿ I was working on the BP oil spill cleanup and was working 7 days a week 12 hours a day from June 2010 until mid January 2011.?ÿ Didn't leave much time for web surfing.?ÿ I sure am glad I got here though.

@holy-cow Ty Olinghouse. Eric White. Larry Phelp. Eric got to know Larry on the old board. They both lived in NC. Larry saw something in Eric and got Eric to do some programing for him. Then let him do a few sessions at a few Seminars. Eric met Ty at a Seminar. Ty lived in OK, and Eric in NC. Distances meant nothing to Eric as long as you had a phone number. Eric got a DUI and lost his job. Donna was living with him with her son. Eric was getting tired of the son and wanted him gone. Eric was drinking one Sunday talking to Ty about all his troubles with the DUI and the son. Eric told Ty he just wanted to die. Ty gets off the phone with Eric and call the NC sheriff's department telling them Eric was suicidal. To Eric's surprise the a few sheriff squids show up and find Eric drinking. They ask Donna and the son if he was going to be ok. They said they were scared. They took Eric in for suicide observation. Eric gets out and makes his way home. The house is empty. No Donna. No son. All his computer equipment, cameras, and his firearm collection gone. One was a fully auto 9mm MP3. Taso from this site heard about Eric's troubles. Taso traveled from Georgia and gets Eric, got him an apartment and gave Eric a job. What a prince Taso was. That lasted until Taso started pipelining. But Eric made it. One would have thought Eric learned his lesson. But a few years latter Donna found him and he took her back. She stayed long enough to figure out Eric didn't have anything to get. I miss my ole buddy Eric White.
