Id like to see Peyton win it then retire before he gets hurt again. Great guy!!!! Go Broncos!!
This will probably be a rare circumstance for me. The Carolina Panthers get the chance to be "anybody but Denver" in my selection of who should win the game.
I grew up with the old AFL. I believe I have cheered for the AFL and AFC teams every time over the past 49 years except for when Denver has been in the game. I even cheered for the Sons of the Devil, otherwise known as the Oakland Raiders, in what people today refer to as Super Bowl II.
The Denver Donkeys need to go down.
Doesn't matter to me, I'm not a big fan of either team.
What I do hope is the game winds up to be good one...with a final score of 7 to 8, or something just as outrageous. If it's a 44 to 3 blowout, I'll be taking a nap.
If Carolina wins, the Falcons would be the only team to bet them in a otherwise dismal season. I can live with Peyton going out on top or Carolina winning even if means the Falcons would be the only team in the NFC South without a Super Bowl win. A good game is all I can hope for.
My Super Bowl day starts at about daybreak with starting the fire in the cooker and letting a pile of wood burn down to coals and cutting the firewood into fist sized chunks to throw on every 45minå± maintain the temp and keep it simi smokeless and cook for the rest of the day to get the ribs right in flavor to the bone.
The time it takes is dependent upon outside temp is. The longer it takes to keep the temp constant the more "prime" the cook gets
I record the game because I haven't made it thru many of the Super Bowl games for many years.
Will see the game on Monday while I am gatherin my self back together from the backyard tailgatin......

That is sooo important, and the wind, too.
Had a buddy a few years ago that had perfected his technique on the "turkey fryer" routine through the Holiday season. He had little marks on his propane knobs and thermometer and (if you were not fast enough) he would explain it all to you...Well, the Fourth of July rolled around and he decided fresh fried-turkey sub sandwiches would be the menu. They sounded good, but his back patio derived techniques didn't work as well at 95å¡ as they did at 40å¡....that poor old bird was a bit well-done. :pinch:
Panthers!
Just wanted to say happy Superb Owl day to all! I'm celebrating by going on a hike with my wife at the park, where we saw a superb spotted owl during our last visit.
The only good thing is that maybe, just maybe, this will get PM to hang up his cleats. He can go into making commercials and appearing on SNL full time now.

No sane man would continue on next year getting your gizzard knocked out by 23 year old 340 pound defensive linemen, play after play. We all know what he's going to do, he just wants to tell the world on his own time, not the team's.

I watched a couple of Raiders games this year, I like their quarterback, he plays with heart.
Denver's defense is one of the best of all time. I believe that Cam was ready to go home about the middle of the 3rd and started thinking about protecting himself for next year. They literally beat the confidence out of the poor boy. He has the opportunity to use the experience to become a better person and player. You can only keep the S on your chest for so long. Peyton played good enough not to lose. Say what you will, he is the only QB to win 300 games in his career. I do not see how anyone can not have a great respect for his accomplishments.
Ahem, lmbrls....................
200 wins

The word/rumor is that Peyton Manning has been trying to enlarge his income/portfolio for years so that he can become a minority owner with controlling interest in an NFL team. The natural fit is the Tennessse Titans who are going through major ownership control problems at this time. The Saints are on the path to ownership problems with the current owners health concerns.. This has been the plan for years.
The business models are NBA players Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan. Magic is worth about over 500 million with his minority Dodger ownership and MJ is worth 1 billion with his NBA Hornet interest.
Yea, you may see more commercials/endorsements/ if he had a part of portfolio in oil investments.
As for the Broncos. Congrats and well done.
Defense played lights out but they were #1 in the league.
Offense seem to have sputtered along with a few glitches to control the win.
Very conservative play calling on each side for a Superbowl game.

No - the good thing was that Newton exposed himself as the prima donna he really is - real MVP's dont pout!

Sorry about the error. He is the only QB to win 200 games in his career, which says something about his level of play and durability. His accomplishments need no exaggeration. Intended or otherwise.
Mr. Cow I fully understand that you do not like Denver. I have teams I choose not like. It's more fun when you like one team and hate the other. I choose not to like Dallas (owner), Washington (uniforms) and the Rams (helmets). This is football. We really don't need a logical reason to be against a team.

There are millions of people in Texas that would agree with you on that.
How do those guys get back up after flying through the air and landing on their head? Or getting crushed by a 300lb lineman?

Not all of them do... Did you notice how difficult it was for some of those past MVP's to just walk out and climb up on those steps?
