Out riding today. Down in the bowels of the Wichita Mountains and after a bit of a hike. They had a burn two weeks ago but this was still left on a rock by the shore of one of the small lakes.

So what did I find?

I also found this and I just instinctively knew what this was. A rock laden port o' potty. And just in the nick of time too.

Dang. I guess that one was too easy. Not a leatherman brand but same-same. Pliers and in perfect shape once I stripped off the melted case.

Second one looks like it could be a wood fired kiln.

If there was a 'seep' in the side of the hill I might think it was a spring house...otherwise that's just where us okies put our 'fraidy-holes' when the ground is too hard to dig.

Bruce. Inside of this man cave was a large tank that looked like a boiler. It was uphill from the house so maybe it was just holding tank for fresh water or maybe they made a little medicinal drink. 🙂
