The local NOAA forecast for next Thu.:
"A chance of snow showers. Some thunder is also possible. Partly sunny, with a high near 81."
Time to get out the winter gear!
It has been cool and rainy in Portland the last couple of days. Snow on Mt. Hood has been forecast.
This has been the coolest July I can ever remember here in North Carolina. Normally we're seeing 95 and up this time of year and we've been in the upper 70's and low 80's, talk about swwwweeeeeeet! Even better is that we're getting another COOL FRONT next week.
Thundersnow?
Thundersnow is awesome.
Donald-
Heard today from local meteorologist on Weather Channel that due to the cold winter the Great Lakes did not thaw out as normal which is like having a cold pack in your lunch pail.
No cold pack ................. hot lunch.
Cheers,
Derek
Snow with a high of 81?!? That is quite the temp range.
Guess it is time to grab the skis and head to the Whites.
FYI I really like Alpine, AZ.
Back in Mich we always called them rain flakes or snow drops, depending on the forecast. When I lived along Lake Mich shore it didn't snow. It's just "lake effect". Sure as heck looked like snow to me though... 😉
I always loved Flagstaff, we'll have to hook up this winter so I can break my other ankle on my 25 yr old skis. Wonder if my bindings still release and/or my boots fit?
What a tease. B-)
