I posted in early May asking for prayers for my son in law. My daughter found him unresponsive from hypoglycemia on the second of May. He was in the hospital in a coma for a week. Then more weeks after he was semi conscious. He has been in Shepherd's Center since for rehab. He comes home Thursday. My daughter is there with him these last days. He should have a 90% recovery or better. Thanks to those that sent positive energy and prayers. She sent me this text that brought tears.
That's great news!
May all the news to come be good news.
That is great to hear. Keep the good news rollin'!
That's awesome! Really puts into perspective some things I've been through this summer and have been bummed about. I turned 40 in February, so this isn't an age thing, but I have been accident prone since Memorial Day and it has started to wear on me. Memorial day afternoon I was walking around my pool to check the grill and stepped in a birdbath my concrete guys left in the pool deck. The last thing I remember seeing was my feet and blue sky behind them. It had gotten a little slimy with all the heat and was like ice, landed on my hand trying to catch myself and broke my wrist. Three weeks later was going from laundry room to bedroom in the dark and kicked/tripped on a Rainbow vacuum and broke a toe. A week ago yesterday we were in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin and after docking a boat and tying it up, I slipped on a wet flip flop stepping from the boat to the pier. I tried to stick my elbows out to catch myself on the pier and boat, and my left shoulder just turned inside out, severely dislocating it. Severely as in my arm bone was stuck in my armpit under my shoulder socket and I couldn't lower my elbow below my head.
I told that long story to say this, with the news of Doug, Big E, and this young man's battle, when you think you've got it rough, others are fighting similar or harder circumstances. Man, take each day as it comes and count your blessings. It sure is easy to start getting bogged down on small stuff until you have or hear something to put it in perspective. I'm not sure if it is because I'm in Georgia and Stacy is too, but that photo and story sure put some things in perspective for me this morning. Anyway, Stacy I'm glad he is recovering well, and good luck to him as he rehabilitates his body. God was looking after him, as He was me. I swam with one arm after falling in the water with noone around, and I know I didn't do it by myself.

We must be kin. Your luck sounds just like mine. They call the one-eyed man lucky, they just don't say which kind.
In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is King !!!
YAY!!!! Sending a cool snowman their way!!! ??ÿ
The homecoming
