I am walking through a park Saturday and notice a carload of young ladies slowing down like they are taking a picture of me. I know that I am not that good looking of a specimen and wonder if they are involved in a scavenger hunt and need a picture of a senior male. Then a family on a golf cart, a man with his young daughter and a young couple in a car do almost the same thing. At this point, I am getting a complex. I then come to the realization that their reality is virtual and I am the only one in the area not playing Pokemon Go. I must have been right on top of him. I must truly be a senior now, as I really could care less that I am not with it.

You sure they weren't taking pictures to compare with the ones hanging on the wall in the post office?

wondering how long it is before there is a shooting spree involving GOers. it'd be like fish in a barrel around here lately. there's a city park right by the office, left late the other night- around 8:30, there were 100+ people all stumbling around like zombies staring at their phone in the park. saw one guy walk right into a pond.

Stupid people have been around since the dawn of time. Somehow, selective breeding principles have not been effective in their elimination.

(Where have I seen that before?):blush::blush:

Funny - This game is plastered all over the news and internet. People getting shot, beat up, lawsuits, ect.

I guess it must really be something for all the adults to be addicted to it.

It must be limited to certain areas because I have not heard boo about it around my stomping grounds.

I a hoping it is limited to certain areas. I will not take kindly to someone crossing my fence and disturbing my livestock searching for some critter that only exists on a screen on their phone. I live where I live because I am not a people person. If the pokeman thingys bring people to me, I'm gonna be real unfriendly

Me either. Lived in Central Florida for 50 years, been to Disney World twice, Sea World and Universal Studios once and Epcot and Animal Kinddom never. In the summertime those places are like a giant stockyard full of confused (and deranged) animals wandering around bumping into one another with an occasional shove or bite taking place. The tourists can have that stuff, not me, I won't even go to a movie theater and have to be forced by SWMBO to go to the mall. 😎

LOL I gave up the mall years ago, and gave up wal-mart this year. Haven't been inside one since january. I even skip state parks because of the "crowds". Although, it is fascinating to watch a crowd of people chase a roadrunner with cameras trying to get a picture!

You pretty much couldn't pay me to go to most of the mass events that the multitudes flock towards routinely. I fill my seat at whatever venue I'm at. I don't need anyone else trying to get any fraction of MY space. And, I intend to sit in my seat to watch whatever it is I am supposed to be seeing. Stand up in front of me and you may learn why you should have stayed home. Zero tolerance for that foolishness. If you what to act like a hamster on crack, do it somewhere else.

I'm pretty sure the Hong Kongians are happy that we don't.

I kinda think the neighbors would prefer I lived in Hong Kong, which would mean the folks in Hong Kong are probably happy with me right where I am. It almost sounds like Cow and I are the right distance apart. Now if the folks between us would disappear...

Let me guess.... Paden would be required to tell stories in order to maintain membership. At least 2 a day plus a bedtime story.

And poor little old me would be flung to the furthest reaches of the universe... hopefully some place cool and with lots of space

I dunno, bedtime stories are a good idea. maybe if you had a good set of them you could stay too. (I had Drill Sgt in the army who told us bedtime stories, yeah, that was a trip)

The first week the Pokeman game came out, I was doing a Lot survey, and two kids were playing the game, As I was setting up the instrument they ask what it was and what I was doing. I told them its a Pokeman generator, and I was placing them around the neighborhood. Before I left the site I think every kid in the neighborhood was watching us work, or looking at their phones and waiting.

Paden is somewhat on a beeline between Monte and me. You're way the heck off to the side somewhere.
