Ok, now I'm curious who the band is.. I'd love to hear them play. Love that style of music.

Those are some great looking keyboards. I sure hope that they don't fall into playing bluegrass music since obviously it ages a person quite a bit.

Were there men in the photos? I was focused mainly on the keyboards.

yea, It gives "tickling the ivories" a new meaning. 😉

Well, I see a good-looking set of keyboards and my hands just naturally want to test the action, although preferably without an audience of 2000 people, some of whom may have YouTube accounts.

As a bass player myself, it is odd to see a lefty, but you also seem to hold/wear your bass fairly low. I don't think I play that low, but whatever's comfortable for you.
I see some guys, usually punk or heavy metal (Robert Trujillo from Metallica) playing so low that they must have carpal tunnel syndrome.

I really need to learn some electric bass technique. I play 95%+ or the time on my upright, but it broke during vacation and resorted to electric. I guess i just adjust the strap till it feels right.
A question: I end up using just one finger playing the electric, holding my fingers like am grasping an imaginary flat pick. I was wondering what you think about switching to a bass pick. As I also play upside-down left-handed guitar, the flat pick seems more natural than learning the two-finger technique most electric bass players use.
Busted bass
Just glued and screwed it yesterday and it appears to be holding.
Not Bluegrass
you inspired me to load up some 10,000 maniacs this morning. so good.

Looks like Perrystock!
For Paden Cash
> That is one unique looking telecaster the guitar player is pickin' on. Do you know anything about it?
>
-)
(from our guitar player) The tele is a Swampkaster model, made by Bill Lawrence out in California. It has blade humbucker pickups.

Cool. The humbuckers and the plug plate looked like an older Fender. The tuning peg end of the maple neck didn't look too much like an old telecaster. Thnx.
while the music plays the band
looks like it was a grate time - the JGB guitar player, Dave Hebert, lives here in Arizona, and plays in a few local bands here - he plays the part and the music well.
love those type of festivals with camping on-site - good times.

Dave Hebert is an amazing guitarist! He could play Jerry's licks flawlessly and add another dimension to them.
Wow Barry, that is a band! The femme vocalist can really belt ‘em out. And what a repertoire… from Glen Miller’s “In the mood” to Santana’s “Smooth” and everything else in between. Yowza, y’all are tight. You must do a lot of professional gigs, I take it.
Thanks for listening Mike.
The band folded about 5 years ago - not enough work to feed such a large crew.
I led the band and wrote the arrangements.
The drummer ( the voice you hear on the demo) did the publicity and the bookings.
Sad fact of life - twelve musicians can't compete with a DJ turntable operator and a set of speakers who works for half the money.
