If any of you all run out of reading material here's a link to something you might find interesting...emphasis on might.?ÿ Our old buddy Ty Evans has some of his work published on the interweb and can be read at the link:

https://prisonwriters.com/all-writers/ty-evans/

Ty has for some time fancied himself as a jailhouse legal expert of sorts.?ÿ I'm not so sure I'd take legal advice from someone that's doing 25 to life..but I guess advice is where you find it in the Big House.

I'm not real impressed with Ty's writing abilities.?ÿ I guess he's keeping busy and maybe taking his mind off of making hash marks on the wall once a day.

I was going to say something demeaning about a monkey and a typewriter...but it is the Holidays.?ÿ So goodwill to all men.?ÿ Even those that tried to murder a snitch with an extension cord.

For those who weren't here in 2005 and prior, Ty was a pretty regular contributor on the message board of that day. He operated a land surveying business openly without benefit of a PLS license, nor any licensee as an employee, under cover of it being a fence line staking business. Near the end of his free days he did form a relationship with another regular poster in his area who is licensed, much to that fellows regret. But if Ty had two ways of doing a thing, one above board and the other sketchy, he chose the sketchy way. It seems that the local cops knew him well, and he took pleasure in tormenting them at every opportunity, and then regaling us with the tale.?ÿ

His last crime was bad enough but I'm sure that the ill will he had generated earned him the maximum penalty.?ÿ

@mark-mayer?ÿ

I remember reading Ty's rap sheet.?ÿ He once "brake checked" a police officer while he was being pulled over.?ÿ I remember him relating the incident on the message board.?ÿ He was incensed the patrolman wasn't found at fault for the ensuing collision and felt he was a victim and shouldn't have been charged with the incident.?ÿ I remember thinking that summed up Ty's social behavior deviance.

I can't remember all the details but he had a serious list of priors including drug trafficking and check fraud.?ÿ I'm guessing all that caught up with him at his last sentencing.?ÿ I think I read his first shot at parole would be 2036.?ÿ

I hope he likes the institutional food.?ÿ?ÿ

Ty, or Hub Northing, as he was known to us, absolutely loved being in disputes.?ÿ Nothing made him happier than arguing against someone who actually knew what they were talking about.?ÿ Anti-establishment to the core.?ÿ I'm certain our former buddy from French Lick would enjoy wringing his neck, if provided the opportunity.

Mr. Evans is not your run-of-the-mill, every day idiot; I'm sure he kept the butt pirates away by helping them with legal advice...

In 2012 I published a self-help legal book titled, Post-Conviction Guidebook: Indiana Edition. It was banned by the IDOC.

Same old Ty...... ????

@holy-cow iirc- he had significant facial injuries that occurred during the arrest- didnƒ??t he injure one of the LEO s and then claim excessive force was used when he was ƒ??subduedƒ??

Anything coming out of his mouth is a lie or something in need of repair with a blue pill.

, Not a buddy.

Ty used to post as "hub northing"

Ty was very intelligent. Proud. Arrogant. I did not really like him. But many here knew him.

To many he may have been their teenage son, who went astray.?ÿ

Ty exemplified the very thing that has always made me wary of smart bullies.?ÿ If they could just turn off the "bad boy" switch in their internal workings, they could productively move mountains.?ÿ But, it is not to be.
