Well, how are you North East Surveyors doing with the early snow storm? Any power outages? How many inches? Of snow that is.....
Hammered here in CT!
My brother got 13" of the white stuff, which caused trees breaking, and wires down.
About 820,000 w/o power and its cold...
Really strange seeing snow fly against a backdrop of trees w/green leaves still on them.
Previous record of snow in October was 3"...blown out of the water by this storm!!!
Global warming hasn't reached CT yet!!
What a few miles to the south makes. On the south shore of eastern Long Island we had 1.6" of rain according to our rain gage in the yard and high winds from the east. We lost power for about three minutes Saturday night. This morning we had 35 degrees and high winds from the west. By 11 AM it was warm enough to go to the marina to winterize the boat. It took 17 gals. of anti-freeze for the engine and 9 gals. for the two A/C systems, the head, the fresh water system and the generator. All done in two hours a record.
barely 2" in northern NH
About 3" of very wet heavy snow in my area of NE New Jersey, just to the west of us they are saying 12". Most of the trees still have their leaves on so the weight of the snow has brought down a lot of limbs. My office lost power on Saturday, back on now. At my house different story lost it Saturday at about 2pm still not back on. PSE&G says maybe by Wednesday. I can deal without the lights but I am starting to miss having heat.
Bunch of wind on the Cape. Worse than Irene, but not to damaging for us. Just another Nor'Easter
Paramus (northeast NJ) area has lots of scattered power outages, depending which block you live or work on.
Snowed all afternoon and evening in Manhattan, but nothing stuck on the sidewalks. Central Park supposedly had 1000 trees damaged by the heavy flakes on fully leaved trees.
A lot of slush in Queens and western Long Island.
