Those five are not currently the starting quarterback of their teams.
Neil
I realized that after I had re-read the question. I was thinking it had read starting QB's for the year. I only pray that Charlie Batch is no longer considered a current starter though.
Coastal Carolina
Tyler Thigpen played for Kansas City for some time and played his college ball at Coastal Carolina.
Makes you wonder what is the smallest college to have a starting quarterback in the NFL in the modern era.
Sam Houston State, maybe?
Alabama State?
Coastal Carolina?
Colt McCoy
Colt McCoy may have the smallest hometown of any NFL quarterback today.
The 2009 Heisman Trophy finalist, Colt McCoy, played his high school ball at Jim Ned High School in Tuscola, Tex., (pop. 714)

#1: Define "modern era".
Ken Anderson of the Bungles was from from tiny Augustana in Illinois (Ken Anderson) He played from 71-86.
I'm sure there are others, but Ken just came to mind.

Milton College (Wisconsin) produced David Krieg, who had an 18-year NFL career from 1980-1998. Best remembered for his years with the Seahawks. He was a 3-time Pro-Bowl QB, and stands 12th on the alltime list of career NFL wins as a starting quarterback.
Milton College had enrollment of 135 students when it closed its doors in 1982.
Krieg's predecessor at QB for the Seahawks was Jim Zorn of Cal Poly Pomona.
Small college quarterbacks
Now, that is smaaaaaaaaaaall.
the Bears current QB went to Vanderbilt. the high school coach who filled in for the backup QB is NOT really their "starter"...
