In a skit on A Prairie Home Companion we learn in "Lives of the Cowboys" how Al was killed by Indians while leading a wagon train to New Mexico. As he was dying, he asked a young fellow to see to it that wherever the wagon train finally stopped and settled the new town be named after him. The young fellow says, "I'll make sure that happens, Mr. Buquerque."

So, was the situation that the deck boards ran East and West and you were brought in to make sure that they followed the latitudinal curve? I hope you didn't use any two-bit screws to fasten the decking but found some good 2-inch iron pipes instead.

The SW corner of Keith's deck is located 0.05' W and 0.04' N of the actual corner of the deck. I haven't checked the NW corner yet, but I'm pretty sure I won't hold it.

depends on when it was last measured. run it through HTDP, it might just fit epoch to epoch

Is the real screw the one that was driven first, or the one that actually hits the joist, or just kind of an average of them all?

The real screw is where the screw was supposed to be driven according to plan. (Not where Keith actually drove it)
