One thing I'll never understand is the sense of entitlement some people display on this board.
There are rules posted; I personally believe they are applied equitably, but whether they are or not, it's a privately owned message board and no one is forced to visit or participate here.
Simple concept to me. Doesn't seem to be to certain others.

Your observation applies to other boards and sometimes life in general as well. Sense of entitlement is, unfortunately, all too prevalent......

It's NOT just a message board!
It's an important service to society!
Running a forum, for surveyors is like running an insane asylum. If it weren't for this board, and others like it, for other professions, well, some of us would simply blow a gasket, and drop out.
It allows us to debrief, fight for our issues, and get stabilized, without choking any politicians, or motherinlaws!
On a side note, I used to go into a local diner, and harass the workers there. I'd tell them that they were performing an important service to society... that by allowing us to come by, and harass them, it prevented much more ill to society. So, they were an important piece of the cog of life! Of course, the fought back, and harassed me to, but it was alot of fun!
Though I'm mostly kidding, there is a serious side to this, that I think is actually true, even though I'm making it out to be bigger than it is.
