I have the best looking Grandson in the world...
This Grandpa gig is fantastic. We were scared to death when we brought Claire home but this thing it's funny, we know what to do and poopy diaper, hey come here and change your kid's diaper. He is living with us due to the exigencies of life.
And Mrs. Karoly glows every time she holds him.
Coolest and best selfie and wishing to many more together in the years ahead....Grandpa. :good:  .
He is adorable! Aren't they all? Especially when asleep. Those "exigencies" in life allowed SWMBO and me to care for one of our Granddaughter's from age 6 months to two years. Talk about energy consumption, I'd rather cut line all day.
You are going to become extremely close to that little one, and have fun doing it too. B-)
Our one and only granddaughter is in Orlando (10 hour drive away).
Enjoy. I helped the wife change my kids but not the GD. Nope! Retired from that at least.

The current crop, two boys approaching 2 in September and December. Wow! the energy.
The younger was by on Friday morning with my daughter in law and just lit into the living/play room. In the afternoon our daughter and her son stopped by. He went into the living room and stopped and sniffed the air. He had that look, "Who's been here? This is not how it should be." Satisfied then he played with a few cars. Just before leaving though he had to root everything out, much better, and left. Friday was the last day of their sister's school year. Yesterday, my wife with daughter, granddaughter and grandson walked from daughter's house to ours. He spent a lot of time marching around the yard with a small flag. He preferred the traditional Stars and Stripes to the "Easton" flag (see my avatar). When both boys are together they actually require less supervision. They have yet to learn about evil plots.

"A picture like that says it all"
The rites of passage for men come in many flavors. The privilege of seeing a 3rd or 4th generation make the tough ones worth it. Enjoy every minute. Pass on every good thing you can...
Very special, what you have there, Dave.
We had a similar situation. Our little guy is 18 years old now:-O

Aloha, Dave:
Congratulations!
P.S. Your avatar is upside down again...;-)
I know, I uploaded it, upside down, so I flipped it over and uploaded again, still upside down. I think my iPad must code which way is up. I may be technically taking the photos with the iPad upside down.
I'm new to the Grandpa thing, but can say that is an experience like no other. Our first Grandchild, Aiden, is four months old. He has 100% of my heart. Our oldest and his wife are expecting in August. Another grandson. I know those cousins will be spoiled. Words just cannot describe the feelings that come with the title Grandpa.
I Know I Edited And Added The "R"s
