Someone here mentioned that they liked to wear nitrile gloves so I was happy to find these Atlas Nitrile Tough gloves. Where regular nitrile gloves are sort of like surgical gloves, these are a sort of a marriage of jersey gloves and the regular nitrile. Imagine a stretch jersey glove dipped in nitrile. Excellent tactile feel, you can run a gun or take notes easily. They are a bit grippy at first but after a few days that wears off bit. Not for sub-zero for sure, but enough to keep the wind off. I've been reasonably comfortable to around 20 deg. And they are cheap!

NO GLOVES BEFORE JANUARY, EVER !!!

DON'T ASK DON'T TELL !!! TDD

NEVER WEAR GLOVES WHEN YOU-

ARE CUTTING LINE
USING A CHAIN SAW
DIGGING WITH A SHOVEL OR AXE
DRIVING
RUNNING AN INSTRUMENT
USING A FIELD BOOK
USING A DATA COLLECTOR
OVER ZERO DEGREES OR BEFORE JANUARY

YOU CAN WEAR GLOVES AT HOME IN THE SHOWER, EATING SUPPER OR PETTING THE DOG-- THATS THE WHOLE 9 ON GLOVES--TDD

Here in Wisconsin, nitrile gloves just aren't warm enough. I currently have a pair of deer skin gloves which I really like. They are warm, yet much softer than cow hide which gives me the dexterity to punch numbers, etc.

Hey ted, you sound just like a conspiracy-theorist-type nut who sits at his computer all day and bloviates about how tough he is and how the world is coming to an end. Like a guy who has some kind of picture of a muscle-man for himself to imply that's what he looks like.

Oh wait...you are.

Nevermind.

Tough guys wear gloves when cutting line through blackberries and wade right in swinging. Namby-pambies without gloves stand back and cut with only the tip of the machete blade.

Calf and Deer gloves are my favorite

Always use gloves when sharpening and/or operating a chain saw and handling fire wood.

Only use with machete or axe when very cold.

Reminds me of the kid in college PE class that always wore gloves during class whether we were exercising, playing football or whatever. Claimed that his wife would not let him touch her if his hands were rough....:-)

Raspberries have small thorns. Blackberries have big ones and easily grow as high as a man can reach with a machette. Gloves for me.

Barberry bushes have thorns like needles and they'll go through gloves like you weren't even wearing them.
