These are just a few of the many my wifes father collected. We found 5 cases in the crawl space while fixing some plumbing issues. He was in the communications fold in WWII and worked as the same after.
They range from $4 a piece to $48 each. It took awhile to clean.
very nice collection. i have about 8 or 10 i have picked up over the years at various locations. around rr tracks seems to be a good place to hunt them. thanks for sharing!

When you post a picture like that, people start evaluating your taste in coffee, drawer pulls, paper towels, etc.;-) Seems impeccable to me though.
Nice insulators, too.

love the night lite!
I used to have a couple dozen I picked up over the years, but got tired of watching them gather dust. I gave them all away when I moved into my present home in 1996. Interesting items, but I can't say that I miss them.
I'm looking at one on my desk right now.
It holds rubber bands and doubles as a paper weight.
Oh yeah, the red ones are the ones to keep your eyes open for.

We used to have wallpaper like that growing up, then my dad got a job 😉
I was told once that insulators with the almost clear pinkish tint were the most valuable!?! Any truth to that?
Bill,
I don't really know. I've been looking info up on the computer. So far all I can see is that they range anywhere from $4-$48. I look into the clear pinkish ones. He had quite a few. The pic only reflects about 25% of his collection.

And no one made comment on the two "Green Flying Saucers"..lol They were compliments of the hospital when The MIL had all her surgeries done. They make a great way to keep food warm when preparing for the neighbors..and, although complete with the plate inside we just can't seem to get rid of them..:)
