I can't imagine any "race car" that doesn't make as much noise as the garbage men on a Monday morning.....sigh ?????ÿ

I've often pondered the popularity of electric motorcycles for that very same reason.?ÿ

A few large drawbacks of motorcycles over the ages were noise, smell and reliability.?ÿ All of these probably due to the internal combustion power plant.?ÿ So remove the offending equipment from the equation and what do you have?...According to most humans you have a boring motorcycle.?ÿ wtf?

Vehicle racing, whether cars or motorsickles or whatever, almost seems like there is some Roman gladiator romance there.?ÿ I mean it's not really a competition unless somebody might spill their innards all over the track. We are probably doomed as a species because of our mindless behavior. 😉

Itƒ??s inevitable that computers will soon drive faster than humans. Some aircraft can only fly by wire - people arenƒ??t good enough. In most sailboat racing autopilots arenƒ??t allowed, they are too good. In the Vendee Globe singlehanded round the world race, the top teams have a full time autopilot tech who can download code via satellite while the boat is racing.?ÿ

Years ago, I flew into Heathrow, and as we were approaching, the Captain lit up on the Tannoy?ÿ to advise that the plane had done a certain number of landings and now was required to do one on autopilot. There was a collective sigh of relief, knowing that the human factor would be taken out.

Anyway, the plane landed softly, then it floated and there was a sickening feeling as it felt like it was rising again, and that got worse when it started to slowly roll to what felt like more than 45 degrees. It felt like it was going to flip, and everybody screamed, including me. Yeah.

@jitterboogie?ÿ

SWMBO at age 10 actually participated in a camel race while living in Turkey. Her father was in the Navy/NATO and stationed in Istanbul. ?????ÿ

@flga-2-2?ÿ

I watched it on the TV when I was in Kuwait and felt like it was cruelty to the Camel, and figured that if allowed the camel would just stop and tell the human to get off and leave them alone....

"Let's Go Brandon".?ÿ I DO NOT mean this as a political statement, just that the entire country seems to be obsessed with a "mistake" made by an interviewer at the end of a race.
