Wow

You have some beautiful scenery there but ain't no way I'd want to live where the lakes freeze over. It gets too cold in Georgia to suit me but I'm glad there are folks who can handle that kind of cold. Thanks for the link.

You may be right

about there not being bugs when the lakes are frozen, but the worst mosquitoes I've ever seen were in northern Manitoba. I think every stalk of grass had at least 10 skeeters on it. Of course that was in July when I only had to wear a sweatshirt and jacket every day.
