Apparently, this is what my body told me I couldnt do anymore. For some reason, I thought I could just jump right back on waterski's after 25 years. WRONG! Pulled/tore my hamstring after taking a fall.I quickly found out that feet generally dont belong behind your head. I know some people can do it, but I obviously cant. I was in so much pain when it happened, thought I was going to pass out in the water. Maybe I should have at least stretched a little after 25 years before getting in the water...what a dumba$$.. dont think I will be jumping over any boundary fences in the near future

OUCH!!!!!!!!!!

You now know why you shouldn't do that. Trust me, you are going to suffer like you've never suffered before from a muscle pain. Take the drugs the doctor recommends. They will be your friends.

Shoulder Behind the Head?

Sucks getting old, don't it?

This happened last fall, from falling off a curb and I was sober!

I tore the left one a couple years before, didn't want to go through surgery again so I applied the physical therapy techniques and fixed myself, didn't go see a doctor.

Did I already say it sucks getting old?;-)

YEEEEOUCH!!! A few years ago I was at a friends house on Claytor Lake, near Radford, VA and I had had a few beers... and tequilas... and bourbons... well, you get the idea... and I am a big guy so I have always been the one to do "seat drops" and "sleepers" off of the deck into the water. Well... this deck was about 25'~ 30' off of the water and I did about 10 ~ 15 of them... I had 2 DEEP thigh bruises for about a week after that. Your bruises look just like the backs of my thighs did... mine might have had a little bit more black and purple though.

Good luck on the recuperation!!

You're lucky, I'm 53 but my mind tells me I'm 25!;-)

I think it's a new strain of senile dementia.....:-P

it probably wouldn't have been as worse if it had been later on in the afternoon- i would have had a lot more alcohol in me- then i probably could have put both legs behind my head without it hurting:-)

Tried that riding on night when an armadillo tried to run under my Yahama and I tapped it with my left heel. The armadillo tumbled out of the way and my left leg flew around and up behind my back.

I blew out both knees in HS football and was not able to ski after.

At 57 I am not the stunt man or rodeo clown type any more and I feel your pain.

In time it will pass. Don't hurry the healing process.

Us older types need to remember that when we ski, water or snow, ice skate or roller skate or any similar activity we need to wear the devices not only on our feet but one on the ars, one on the but and one in each hand. That way it does not matter much which side is up. Those who choose to jump from high places are on their own.

Shoulder Behind the Head?

FINALLY!!!!!!! there might be someone in your family with some sense~!!!!

Tell her she must be a sweetheart and give her my condolences for having to put up with someone who doesn't act his age. (of course, it is incumbant upon you NOT to tell her that I am the guy who at age 51 showed his young boys how to ride a bicycle, sitting on the handlebars, facing backward.) THEY say you can't remember pain. I beg to differ!!!!

Unless you are an advanced yoga master or dating a 20 year old, your foot has absolutely no business behind your head, but you already knew that.

Actually PL

I've always had a knack for putting my foot all the way into my mouth.
