"Croppie" every time I've ever heard it.
1) "The Cities", meaning Minneapolis-St.Paul
2) Freeway
3) Minnesota
1) Colorado Springs
2) "The I" is what the talking heads on the radio and TV call it and I DO NOT agree with them. I call it I25, Interstate or Freeway. Another local abbreviation is "A" and "P" related to times. Are we just too lazy to include the "M"?
3) Colorado
1 - NONE (Had to capitalize because it is really NONE)
2 - Interstate
3 - Kentucky

1. Manhattan (even though NYC has five distinct counties (boroughs).
2. In NY, expressway, parkway, or possibly thruway. In NJ, Turnpike (with a capital T)
Parkway (with a capital P), freeway or expressway.
3. New York (NYC).
> 1) What is "The City?" (None is an OK answer.)
A place with a high concentration of resident "cidiots". They generally drive in the leftmost lane available to them on the freeway regardless of their speed relative to other traffic, have little concept of their actual speed, and don't have the sense to move to the right when they are travelling at a lesser speed than other freeway traffic.
If you live in Sacramento, "The City" is SF. If you live in Placerville, or in the woods some distance out of Placerville, then Placerville is "town", Sacramento is "The City", and SF, including surrounding urban communities is that earthly manifestation of hell by the coast that I may be occasionally required to go to or pass through.

A freeway (no tolls) or expressway (may or may not be a turnpike or toll road)

Originally, MI. No one in CA knows what I'm talking about when I refer to a freeway or expressway.
