Just when it looked like spring was going to show up:
Mid teens this morning, and 8" of wet heavy snow Saturday evening into Sunday:

Last night coming home along the highway:
Sure not helping the survey schedule!!!
Yep... same here. Completely understand the survey schedule, but maybe it is God's way of slowing us down!
Oh, my God!
They have been a bit "off" with the recent forecasts, this was to be a rain event, then they changed it to rain/slight chance of snow, then just before it hit a winter storm warning showed up!!!:-(
Good news is they now say it's to get up to 60 by Tuesday and no more snow until Wednesday!:-O
Nothing like that, but, we did have snow in the air about an hour ago. It was 80 a few days ago. Had over an inch of cold rain yesterday and very gusty winds. It was 34 when I checked first thing this morning. Supposed to be 25 tomorrow morning. That will play heck with the blooming pear trees and such.
Hmmm. Up here, some folks think we shut down for winter. Best time of the year to survey. No leaves, all the lakes, rivers and muskeg are frozen. Just sayin', get more down in winter than summer!!:-/

Ha,
Yeah, winter is a good time, ground is frozen you can go most anywhere, it's these spring snow storms that screw things up.
Rain, not so bad, ground gets muddy and a day or two later it's dried out. Now the snow falls Saturday, Tuesday it's still white, finally melts but it's Thursday-Friday before it's dry enough to get out in the hills, just in time for the next storm:-/
Yesterday high was 82 and tomorrow night it goes back below freezing.
The morning tomorrow starts with 40mph wind advisory.
Yeah, spring can be a bit messy!! Still have 4-wheeler stuck in the muck down on the Kenai, been there for about 17 yrs now, probably can't even see it anymore! Only way to get it out was to hire a helicopter and that cost more than the wheeler.

Ha!! Probably you are getting this storm, sorry
God I love spring! My wife kinda worries about me puttin the snow pacs away, pullin them back out, puttin them away, pulling them back out.....It's just my way of soothing my OCD and wishing away spring snow storms. 😛
Pablo B-)
we had the first temps over 70 degrees for 6 month here in NH.
