"Pure mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas." - A. Einstein.

I didn't know that this was happening about an hour drive from me. I wonder who did the survey.

What is impressive is the amount of cross party politicking that took place to get the site located in LA. Even finding a location and land owner to work with the state was a job too.

You know who dd the survey? I have 2 guesses. One very connected.

At one time in Louisiana there was string bi-partisan suport on the Fed level of Louisiana politicians. Bob Livingston and Lindy Boggs along with John Breaux worked together. It seems like it would be impossible to do in current times.

It looks like a great place to multi-purpose a calibrated baseline.

I'm waiting for the results of this entanglement experiment to be released. Quantum mechanics is a super interesting topic to read about.
I think it will have a dramatic impact on mankind.

I remember reading an article and some physicist said, "If you think you understand quantum mechanics, then you clearly don't understand quantum mechanics!"

That article is 3 years old. I don't think they have yet performed any entanglement experiments between earth and space.
We are not even capable of going to space anymore.

Yeah, we're pretty much stuck to earth orbit for the time being.
