Interesting take on Deer Crossings:
Why do they let deer cross in high traffic areas
My wife got one last week! A few thousand damage to the Surburban.
one slammed into the side of the wife's car.
while it was in the shop, she tagged another one in the rental car.
i'm looking for a brush guard that totally surrounds her vehicle. 😉
I agree all deer crossings should be within school zones, much safer all around and it’ll entertain the kid’s. Now where’s that bong?
Y’all have a great week! B-)

Without those signs, Nate could drive around forever without scoring.

Not bad, but I do not deal with companies that are ashamed to post their prices.B-)

Ate deer yesterday for breakfast.
Gotta grind some more jerky today, and replace a boot on the 4-wheeler.
I have not yet hit a deer with the 4-wheeler.
Big Help wants a truck with a trash truck lift on the front, so you go down the road, and hit a deer, (actually spear it) and the lift dumps it in the back, so you don't even have to stop.

I haven't been hunting since my little brother passed away in 2000.
I miss not having Deer, Elk, Moose, etc. in the freezer!
Spud will be old enough to hunt Big Game in Wyoming this coming year (2013), so that will change next Fall.

My boy's solution:
OK! make some jerky!

Don't laugh at her.
The local DOT was prepared to spend $300 million to make safe wildlife crossings.
The idea was to build these giant 150' wide bridges across the interstate and some state highways and large wide underpasses. Then high fences to push the animals to the crossings.
They were going after some of the stimulus money.
They only got somewhere around $1 million and built one or two.
So she has the same idea as the DOT....and her solution is much cheaper-just move the signs.;-)

Maybe, the money would be better spent, elsewhere....:
I can imagine a driver trying to read that sign and then hitting someone.
