Anybody have a suggestion for a cleanup program for a computer running Windows XP?
CCleaner
Thanks, CCleaner was pretty quick and easy on my Window 7 machine.
Bleach bit
xp? are you serious? I hope you only use it for some obsolete software which isn't updated anymore.
Well now a while later, I don't think it proved anything.
Be sure and look up any of the intrusive information that your cleaner wants to zap and trace it back to see if it is a part of your Cadd or Cogo or other information and programs on your computer and tag those you need to be immune as it will try to zap any routine that will check thru the internet to ID and check your ownership of programs and others that will remotely at will download needed info to carryout some command you have activated to retrieve information from the cloud or another computer as most cleaners will automatically zap those types of variants.
I have XPs that have not been connected to the internet for years and I still run and scan files before I put them on my XPs so they won't get infected by something that got slipped onto my thumbdrive.
There is no more of this good buddy try this file out as it is a good way of getting your whole system hacked or crashed by some little tweeb who wants you to pay dearly for not inviting them to your last BBQ.

Used it. Now I'm getting popup sales every 5 minutes.
I have an ancient machine running xp, the whole computer is dedicated to Lucas Arts "Monkey Island" series. Runs faster than Win 10. ????

Never heard of monkey Island until I Googled it...
I'll bet there's lots of Monkeying around!
Actually it’s a fun game series, to me anyway. Especially because you don’t have to decapitate anything, eat any pulsating organs, torture anything, hijack any cars, rape anyone or kill police officers.
But, you have to realize I was also gobstruck when "Pong" was released. ????
I was also gobstruck when "Pong" was released.
I was too!
We didn't get one, of course, but my buddy had one and we'd play and play, when we couldn't go outside...
Here's my mom and dad, when they first tried to use a computer...
