We're booked into Gardiner mid-July.?ÿ We're scrambling to find other accommodations now, probably somewhere around West Yellowstone.
This morning's update.
It sounds like Yellowstone NP will be implementing some sort of reservation or timed-entry system for the remainder of the season, so check frequently and plan ahead.

I put it off permanently years ago after a friend who visited relayed the extreme overcrowding conditions there.
Within the past week my wife asked if I had ever been there.?ÿ Told her I had not but I had no desire to go, unless it was December or some time when almost no one else was going.
I've been across the bridge over Rock Creek dozens of times. I always figured Rock Creek was safe since it's a deep cut creek and very fast, moving the water shouldn't have been difficult but I believe the bridge caused much of the flooding. I think it could have been avoided if the bridge would have been longer and higher, or if they showed up with some explosives and blew it up about Sunday. Might as well tried it cause the bridge isn't there anymore. From the videos it looks like the bridge broke and funneled water to the west into town. Very sad, one of my all-time favorite towns.?ÿ
2 different families from my town both got to Cody, WY on Monday/Tuesday. So much for their Yellowstone plans.
