I don't think we've discussed this yet...

My top choice is a "Champion 4" made by American Standard. The elongated "E"?ÿ seat goes on it. Around $200 at Lowes. It'll flush a bucket of golf balls.?ÿ

A successful purchase of a private porcelin appliance includes making sure that it all "goes away".

It is a bit tall...?ÿ

But it's effective. 2 thumbs up.

Very nice. I'm still begging the old bag..er SWMBO to let me have a urinal alongside the "Throne".?ÿ?ÿ ??ÿ

Ever since I was assigned latrine duty decades ago I sit to pee so I don't have to clorox the walls, floor, and toilet to remove renegade urine.?ÿ

Note to y'all: NEVER EVER tell SWMBO you can do something (ie: clean the bathrooms) better than her.?ÿ

Years ago I was surveying a rather large tract out in the middle of nowhere and found a complete toilet in the woods, seat and tank. It was just sitting there waiting to be used almost as if it was reading my mind. There was no obvious reason for it to be there other than to help me out.

There were no 4 wheeler trails etc. getting it there, just a toilet in the woods. I always thought it odd. It did not flush though, I believe the float was broken and the tank did not fill, somebody should fix that.

While surveing a large rural acreage property a few years ago i kept finding toilet bowls near the corners they sure stood out in the woods. Come to find out the guy that owned the property 40 years or so before was a plumber and put them out as witness posts

It was probably put there by the production crew of the "Jackass" producers hoping some idiot (not you, of course) would use it and then blow it up while being used. All while being filmed.?ÿ ?ÿ??ÿ

I'm only 60 but some mornings my knees beg for a taller stool.

Many moons ago, I did a boundary and topographic survey for a new burger joint coming to town. ?ÿThe old man's property that was to be the new burger joint's property contained an old wooden two-story house probably built in the late 1800's or early 1900's. ?ÿIndoor plumbing was a new thing for houses built probably in the 40's around here, so there was the familiar outhouse behind the old house on the property. ?ÿI thought it odd that it had a concrete foundation visible from the outside, and it was constructed really well. ?ÿIt had a shingle roof and lap siding boards on the outside. ?ÿCuriosity got the best of me, so I approached the front door. ?ÿInstead of a wooden door and handle, there was a real door and casement, and there was a door knob on the door. ?ÿI opened the door, and there inside was a ceramic water closet (commode for the rednecks) installed on the concrete floor with running water and a toilet paper roll holder affixed to the wall. This was really nice! ?ÿ

If you think about it, indoor plumbing was being built into all the new houses. ?ÿOlder houses had a bathroom added that contained a commode and a bath tub. ?ÿUp until that time, it was standard practice to do the nasty business outside of your home and leave the smell there. ?ÿI remember some of the older generation being absolutely horrified of someone doing their business.....INSIDE THE HOUSE. ?ÿIt just did not catch on with everyone.
