My question is for those who have a web site, have you gotten any buisness from it?

I'm in the proccess of building a web site. I'm praying with todays with world of google searches, and mobile searches, I would gain more exposure.

I'm on a marketing campaign.

We get alot of business from our website. I remember when it was being built one of the key items was making sure it was properly done so Google and other search engines would pick up key words. Im sure Wendall could elaborate more. You can check ours out at www.franksurveying.com

Yes, you must have one. I try to ask people how they got my name when they call. I should write it down to keep track but roughly:
20% from my old predecessors drawings (I have his phone number)
30% from word of mouth, usually a realtor or builder
50% say they were searching the Net and most went to my site before calling. My site is very simple low key, but I think it is right for they clients I serve. Not trying to look like the big guys in town. Be sure it is catered to you. Mine is still a work in progress, but is working for me.

Yes I have. Wendell hooked me up this year. I am thrilled with the results. He also has me connected to something called Google Analytics somehow. That is a pretty nifty tool.

If your view counter is correct, then 20,000+ views should atleast get you a job or two or three...

When I started my business about 2 years ago, one of the first things I did was start a web site. A great deal of my business comes from it. I've never bothered putting my name in the phone book. I think it is especially helpful when out-of-town companies need a local surveyor. Some of my best projects have come from it. As someone else said, make sure your site shows up in a google search. My site is very simple, but that's all it takes to get your name on the web. Of course, a well designed site is always great.

We get a fair amount of business from our website.
Also when I meet or talk to clients I can tell by the kind of personal questions they ask that they have looked at it.

I try to visit the websites you designed and my Avast Antivirus software blocks the pages (in both Chrome and IE) as being Malicious...
