The New Zealand Institute of Surveyors has been under going a 'branding refresh' - think marketing consultants, new website, slo-mo video etc etc

The other day I received a copy of "The Measure"  - their 'new' magazine

First impressions: Looks good, nice quality paper and print, although I do recognise the library cover image

Then just below the title I read the blurb - which describes itself as...

welcome to your fresh and inspiring
industry magazine - designed to
motivate and support your every step
of the way along the road to success

My God, who comes up with such meaningless language? - Utter poppycock, complete gobbledygook

Not sure whether I should laugh or retch - sure does not make me want to read it

That's pretty bad. AI came up with these in an instant:

1. Charting Aotearoa's Edge
Precision meets passion in New Zealand's wild frontiers.

2. Kiwi Lines, Global Reach
Mapping tomorrow from the land we love.

3. Tech Trails in Te Waipounamu's Majesty
Cutting-edge tools carving paths through NZ's untamed wonders.

4. From Fiord to Frontier.

There have been a couple of "branding refresh" uproars here in the US lately. One when the "Cracker Barrel" restaurant chain changed its logo, then quickly changed it back in response to the uproar.   New Coke, old Coke.
