Lots of good comments from seasoned soloists here. I'm one, since mid 90's. Let your work flow dictate your spacial needs. Don't be shy about using a peer's desk if you need to. I use a 3 x 6 plastic table from Walmart for my desk in the guest room, a couple lap tops, MFC printer device, a 2 drawer file cabinet, a modest book shelf, and keep it as simple as possible. Where the snag comes in is storing supplies like stakes, monuments, making meetings, and getting paid. But after surviving the past 2 depressions, keeping it simple works for my old mind. My quad lives in my 6 x 8 enclosed trailer.
