The ground shark shovel looks like a good quality pc of equipment:

The best one i've used....just a plain ole shovel. Broke two already....replaced for free by Fiskars with a simple photo emailed to them. It's heavy and strong and about $30.

I'd love to hear about some other good ones you've used.
