I would expect a lot of mapping river beds for pipeline crossings, both existing and new.

Are you on-shore or off-shore contracts? That's the first thing to ask.

Offshore O&G work mostly involves large-scale exploration mapping of ocean floor for future planning (where in the world can we think to build something?), geophysical testing of soil through core samples (will the ground hold up to build something? is there carbon here?), scanning sonar and sub-bottom profiling for obstructions (what's our room for error here? any massive rocks below?), and construction inspections (any leaks or holes we should know about?).
