Dunno about "required". It was always hit or miss when we contacted the pipeline owners, and I don't remember any way to compel them to answer.

I don't remember the exact code either but I do remember that it's presumed to be 50 feet centered on the pipeline unless prescriptive rights exist, or the pipeline company presents evidence that they need more than that 50 foot width.
In the case of a blanket easement, the firm that I worked for always showed the presumptive 50 foot easement, cite the code, and if the pipeline company claimed that they had more, we would show that width as well and note that it was shown only per written or verbal notice and give the contact information for their representative.
I am not aware of any requirement for them to do so but if you ask nicely and have your surveyor provide the easement exhibit, they usually do.
@rover83 That is excellent advice.?ÿ I never had to deal with prescriptive rights in the past.?ÿ They have been clear cut through the property with access within.
