Finding an 1857 original GLO stone in the heart of the Kansas Flint Hills near Bazaar. On a beautiful afternoon in the Fall!?ÿ How could this ever get "old"?

The very slow, cattle-dodging journey from Bazaar to Madison on THE road is something else.?ÿ Big city folk would assume they have entered the Twilight Zone by the time they reach civilization again.

@holy-cow Locally that open range road, with no R/W fences and cattle guards, from Lyon/Chase County line to Matfield Green is known as "the back way" or officially Camp Creek Road.?ÿ Haven't been to far west of Madison on the open range trail. Mostly private property.?ÿ The beauty of this area can only be seen in the Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall, while the exposed limestone driving hazards can only be seen in the Winter (and just after pasture burning). 😉
